Emily：Yes, nice to meet you! I am so excited to be here.
George：The pleasure is mine. I've got your apartment key. Room 501.
Emily：Oh, great, thanks! This is the building?
George：Yes, follow me. The building is very old so it doesn’t have an elevator.
Emily：Okay, it is charming! I love it. (Goes up the stairs...) Oh, I am tired. This is it?
George：No, your room is on the fifth floor. This is the fourth floor.
Emily：What, no way. I just schlepped up these bags five flights.
George：Well, in France, first the ground floor, then the first floor then the second floor...
Emily：That is weird. (Reaches her room)
George：Okay, the space is small but the view is amazing. How do you like it?
Emily：Wow, this room is too good for me.
George：Glad to know. I will leave your keys here. Enjoy the rest of your stay in Paris.
Emily：(Emily's boyfriend calls). Hello? I miss you already. But I also cannot wait to meet the people I am going to work with.
Dan：How is your first day in Paris?
Emily：Great! Fashion's so chic, food is delicious. I feel like I'm a hick here. People wise, I haven't figured anything out yet. All I know is that I don’t wanna spend another day in the most romantic city in the world without you.
Dan：I miss you too. My Chinese friend says Chinese people are mean behind your back, but French people are mean to your face.
Emily：My American friend says French people work to live, but we Americans live to work.
Do you think that is true? look where it has brought me, this beautiful city.
Emily：If that is the case, I wonder if I could blend in...
Dan：Don’t worry, you will be fine. You were always fine. Break a leg.
